There was great excitement when the daughter of our Mt Tamborine clients was about to have her first baby, and we were called in to do something very special…
Our role:
Like her mum, the beautiful mum-to-be has a love for nostalgic vintage pieces and we started with the forest inspired ‘Foret’ wallpaper by Nina Campbell in a soothing, soft green. Fabrics were a selection of perennially popular stripes and the adorable 101 Dalmatians Disney print by Sandersons.
Challenges:
One of the challenges we faced was the room was a 90s design, which meant it had plain thin window frames and doors, and no cornices – and the client wanted a more classic ‘modern country’ style. This was rectified by building out the window frames, adding panels to the doors (with lovely brass handles) and adding cornices.
The outcome:
The result is the perfect place for a new baby boy, and his delightful parents, to rest and play.
