Project:
This uber elegant kitchen was designed by the clever homeowner and built by her brother and his cabinetmaker. We were commissioned by Home Beautiful to style it up beautifully and shoot it for a feature. What was already a stunning kitchen needed to be styled to its full potential.
Our role:
We replaced the existing stock standard stools with sophisticated ‘Nixon’ stools from Globewest. Benchtops were styled with marble platters, a handmade timber ‘Jigsaw’ board sourced locally and porcelain ‘Gentle Wave’ bowls by Nikki Sharp for Tahn Interiors. And as always, we added plenty of lush plant life.
Highlights:
A quick tip if you’re loving the oversized skylight above the custom 2.2 x 2.4m marble island, rather than paying for a costly custom square skylight, the owner bought two standard ‘off-the-shelf’ rectangle skylights and placed them together for a fraction of the price!
The outcome:
The kitchen starred in a ‘Beautiful Kitchen’ feature in Home Beautiful, 2022. We even made a ‘how to style your kitchen’ video on this shoot, which you can see on our Instagram page.
