Project:
A tired twenty-year old home was in the process of being transformed into a French-inspired farmhouse, complete with a vintage-style ‘garden room’, European-style gardens and even a bell tower.
Our role:
It was early in the renovation when we were asked to provide interior and exterior paint schedules, and finish schedules throughout. This included marble bench tops, wall tiles and cabinetry finishes and hardware. We then tackled the incredibly creative brief to furnish and decorate the home in the owner’s requested French Farmhouse style. This included sourcing and supplying new and vintage furniture and furnishings, lighting, wallpapers and bedlinens.
Highlights:
There are many special highlights, including the beautiful beige marble bench tops, teal wall panel ‘bedhead’ in the master, ruffled linen curtains and the over-sized Garden Room chandelier the owners found in France. We commissioned bespoke wallpaper to surround the fireplace, found vintage rolls in a charity shop for the hidden game cupboard, and worked closely with The Decorator’s Workroom on one-of-a-kind custom furnishings.
The outcome:
Though only recently finished, this is a retreat our delightful clients, and their four adult children, have already celebrated many special occasions in, including Christmas, an engagement, a wedding and a baby shower. We loved this project and are super excited to announce it will be appearing in Country Style magazine soon!
