Project:
Our busy international clients bought this stunning 3-bedroom apartment, right on the Brisbane River, as they wanted to create a luxurious home-away-from-home when visiting family, especially their new grandchild. As avid art lovers, they wanted a contemporary, chic space and weren’t afraid to incorporate some edgier elements.
Our role:
Whilst only four years old, the apartment wasn’t at its sparkling best, so we organised a deep clean, new flooring and a fresh coat of white paint before starting on the furniture and furnishing concept. The apartment was bought unfurnished, so we furnished it from scratch. This included the usual furniture and soft furnishings but also new lighting and commissioned art.
Highlights:
We commissioned custom leather and oak stools, and one of the most beautiful dining tables we’ve ever seen (though it may have also been the heaviest, so not fun for the boys to carry upstairs!), added a plush silk and wool rug, marble topped coffee table, and everything else…including some spectacular wallpaper and lighting.
Outcome:
Since our clients were flying in from overseas, we thought of everything, down to the cutlery, kitchen linen, bath towels and laundry basket! We dressed the beds in sumptuous velvets and freshly laundered sheets, so the owners could simply step inside after a long flight and relax, which they very much appreciated. It’s very much become a retreat they can enjoy when catching up with beloved family.
